ODISHA ASHA ABHIYAHATI YOJANA FOR ASHA WORKERS 2018

ASHA workers! Probably you are familiar with this profession. Actually, this is not a profession but a dedication and solemn deed that they are doing for the society.

ASHA  – Accredited Social Health Activists are community health workers instituted by NRHM (National Rural Health Mission) of India’s ministry of health and family welfare

ASHA workers are someone who serves the society without even harking at the time that either it is day or night.

Odisha government have taken a great step for the benevolence of ASHAs by inaugurating a scheme naming ASHA ABHIYAHATI YOJANA.

 

Chief Minister of Odisha – Mr. Naveen Patnaik announces this during MUKHYAMANTRI AMA KATHA PROGRAMME.

ODISHA ASHA ABHIYAHATI YOJANA 2018

Under this scheme honorarium of ASHA workers is increased from 10,000 to 20,000. It will be paid under VOLUNTARY RETIREMENT SCHEME to the ASHAs who have completed their 10 years as ASHA worker or retired at the age of 62.

Along with the honorarium, financial support of Rs. 10,000 will be given to each worker for buying the defactos of the need like Umbrella, bicycle, Almirah, torch etc.

This amount will be credited directly to the account of ASHA workers, said SHALINI PANDIT – Director of NHM Odisha.

This scheme will benefit about 47,000 ASHA workers who are giving their services in Odisha.

It is such a great honor and helps the superwomen who are serving society in spite of any problem coming their way. It will encourage them to work with more enthusiasm.

Odisha is the first state that is doing this and creating a good influence on the country by taking such a great step for ASHA.

Hopefully, other states of India will also take a step for ASHA workers. Like ODISHA Asha Abhiyahati Yojana 2018 so that they will be encouraged and will do their work efficiently.
